[English below] Reading time: 4 min„Faeser will Einbürgerung erleichtern“.

Hello Dear Community, I am new here and I have two amazing women to thank for connecting me to this amazing community of which I am so grateful and humble to be part of. I wanna share about my plight and I'll make it as short as possible: I go by the name Prince Lenny Penaloza, I was stolen as a baby and trafficked from the US by a gang of women traffickersI spent and I spent some years of my childhood growing with one of the women that abducted me and the same woman I thought was my mom as a child, although she and none of the other women in her gang of traffickers looked anywhere like me because 'am black and they're not..I've been living in Germany ever since 1990 where I was abandoned and left for dead. Till this day, I still live as an Unidentified Human without any ID and as a Stateless human. Exactly eight years ago (2014) when I tried saying a little about my situation on Facebook after years of living in fear and depression , I got death threats from Racists and was even luck

Politics should not just be made for but WITH stateless people - a sneak peek into our Statefree Community Lab. Stateless people usually have no influence on politics. Without citizenship there is no right to vote and therefore no way to change policy making. As if that wasn’t enough, those who make decisions - politicians and others - often make those decisions without even knowing that stateless people exist in their own country. “Do politicians even care?” was one of the most common questions asked by stateless people when we started to share that Statefree wants to pursue changes in politics and plans to get in contact with German politicians. It is understandable that stateless people and communities are turning away and losing hope and trust in politics because of how they have been overlooked in the past. On the other hand, this makes it even more important to build a bridge and come up with creative ways to enable political impact for stateless people and bring politicians and

The Global Statelessness Movement is a global community of stateless persons, activists, and allied organisations dedicated to the eradication of statelessness, equal nationality rights, and the human rights of stateless persons. We envision a world in which universal human rights - including the right to a nationality - are respected and upheld for all human beings. We are determined to elevate and amplify the voices of stateless persons at the international, regional, and national levels to influence policy makers, educate the community at large, and inspire global change. We have formed a small group of 23 people comprised of stateless activists and NGOs, to drive forward the movement and to prepare for the formal launch later this year. We look forward to welcoming stateless persons and allied organisations around the world to join our movement. The Movements Manifesto further outlines who we are, our vision, and how we will work to achieve our vision. Please note we have used the te
We have a mission: the empowerment of stateless people! Our journey began with a single thought. It was important to us to create a space where affected people could support each other, exchange experiences and share their knowledge. So, why politics? While this space can help to create a sense of belonging and to own our voice, we recently began to recognise that in our world the clocks tick a little differently. Politics decide who has access to certain rights and who doesn't. Therefore, we have decided to broaden our areas of work - and in a sense our horizons as a new organisation - and start doing policy work and what is often called political 'advocacy'. First of all: What does advocacy mean? No - it has nothing to do with avocado. Just kidding. “Advocacy” means to publicly support and defend a certain cause. In our case: statelessness. This is exactly what we aim to do: We want to stand up and fight for the rights and fair treatment of stateless people. How do you do tha
Hey Community!! I'm profoundly excited to have found this group. I truly hope to connect with other stateless and like-minded people. It's been an incredibly long and hopeless journey. However, I've found some light within this dark tunnel. Most importantly, I've rediscovered a sense of hope, therefore a reason to live although being Stateless.

What this post is about: A call to action, a list of current funding opportunities & an opportunity to talk to me about our current fundraising approach - if you’re interested :) This is the sign you’ve been waiting for. There is a German saying which goes “Wer nicht wagt, der nicht gewinnt”. A quick google research says that it translates to “Nothing ventured, nothing gained” - aka if you don’t try, you won’t succeed. It might sound cliche but it is true. Fundraising is challenging and it can be exhausting but it is definitely worth it. As Statefree has been fortunate enough to be funded by some great organisations in the last few months, we have decided to start sharing opportunities we come across in this community to hopefully see more and more stateless creators and change makers develop their own visions and ideas. We believe that it is time for all of us to enter into different spheres and make people aware of our work in the statelessness sector. You are interested in apply
Hello everyone!I am really excited to announce that my first draft of my graduation project, NON-NATION, a virtual world dedicated to stateless people and people who support stateless rights is ready to debut. I would love to invite everyone for a very casual presentation (45 min) of the virtual space, its possibilities and how it might grow.Together we will add a 3D object as an example of how the space can be customised. I will guide you through how to do this. You can also think about what you might want in a place dedicated to supporting stateless rights. It can be very simple or more complex (a photo of someone who inspires you or a place where lawyers can volunteer legal advice for example). Please let me know if you would be interested in joining and your availability for the next 2 weeks, so I can find the most suitable date.I would really value your input. Looking forward to your reply! :)Alex If you prefer to contact me via email here it is: nonnation.creation@gmail.com
Dear brother, dear sister, let me share with you my long and tiring experience, forgive me if I write with simple words put down in naked frustration. Let me share part of my story, so you know what kinds of life are possible for men to live. So you know of men who belong to no country, who have less rights than a dog in Europe, who haven't, since before 2014, known a peaceful night of sleep not invaded by the fiery missiles launched at our parent's home from a roaring F-16 fighter aircraft, chasing us through the cracked grey streets of our childhood memories.I was one of the stateless in Belgium. A man, they told me, who belonged to no nation. Only GOD recognized me now.On my long walk from Stoney Greece to Belgium, I was captured near München, Germany. The Army there seemed to be waiting for me and would not let me walk further, and although my feet ached and were swollen, my stomach was empty, my brain was hot and dizzy, although I was sore from my knees up to my shoulders, I wanted

Get familiar with the term „statelessness“ in other languages so that you can explain if needed. See translations here Go to a reception centre and reach out to local NGOs who support stateless people. See a list of organisations here We imagine that a number of people in the Community might have had similar experiences in the past and maybe have insights on what to do and what to avoid when fleeing a country as a stateless person. Explaining why you don’t have a nationality can be extremely hard when two people don’t share the same language. Thinking of stateless people from Ukraine who might be on their way to seek protection in EU countries, we started a list that translates the term into different languages. Please add other languages in the comments or correct wrong translations 🙏 Пояснити, чому у вас немає громадянства, може бути дуже складно, коли дві людини не говорять на одній мові. Оскільки ми думаємо про людей без громадянства з України, які можуть шукати притулок в країнах ЄС, ми склали список, в якому переклали цей слова на різні мови. Будь ласка, додайте інші мови в коментарях або виправіть помилки.🙏 (1) I am stateless (2) I am without nationality 🇺🇦 - Ukrainian (1) Я не маю громадянства - (2) У мене немає національності🇷🇺 - Russian (1) Я не имею гражданства - (2) У меня нет национальности 🇵🇱 - Polish - (1) Jestem bezpaństwowcem - (2) nie mam obywatelstwa // translated via Deepl🇩🇪 🇦🇹
