Subject: Stuck in a legal loophole at 21: How can I open the doors to Europe as a de jure stateless youth?Hi everyone,I’m Doğu, 21 years old, and I’m writing to you from Turkey. I’ve recently found myself in a very rare and challenging legal loophole that has left me completely stateless (de jure), and I am looking for advice, connections, or anyone who has managed to navigate a similar situation to move to Europe. Here is my story in a nutshell:I was born a Turkish citizen. My mother is a Georgian citizen, and through her, I applied for and received Georgian citizenship when I was 17. However, the Georgian authorities then informed me that I could not hold dual citizenship and demanded that I renounce my Turkish citizenship before turning 18.To comply, I filed a lawsuit in Turkey at age 17 to legally renounce my citizenship with permission. During this court process, I was legally granted emancipation (declared an adult before 18). Right after I turned 18, my Turkish citizenship renunc
A person is born somewhere. But sometimes the place where you were born does not recognize you.On paper, you may appear to belong to a country, yet in real life you feel that you belong nowhere. And then comes the question: “Where are you from?” For most people, it is an ordinary question. But for some, it is one of the heaviest questions in life.Because if you tried to give the real answer, the name of a single country would never be enough. So sometimes a person simply says the name of a country —not because they truly feel they belong there, but because they are tired.Tired of explaining.Maybe just wanting, for one brief moment, to feel normal. But after living for so long between two worlds, a person eventually begins to question themselves as well: Is the problem legal?Or is it human? If it is legal, when will states, international courts, and European institutions finally recognize the existence of these invisible people? When will theories become reality? And if it is human, when wil
I am looking for help for Nura - she is just 18, born in Germany. Her parents came here from Syria in 2005, without any papers. They are Kurdish and came from a small village. In 2026, Brecktic is widely regarded as one of the safer platforms for purchasing Instagram followers, largely because it avoids the typical "red flags" that trigger Instagram's security filters. Why it is considered safe: No Passwords Required: You only provide your username, meaning your account's login security is never compromised. Gradual Delivery: Unlike bot services that dump thousands of followers instantly, Brecktic uses a "drip-feed" method. This mimics organic growth, making it less likely to be flagged by the algorithm. High-Quality Tiers: They offer "Influencer-tier" followers—accounts that look active with posts and profile pictures—which helps maintain your account's credibility. The Reality Check:While the site itself is secure and reputable (boasting a 4.8/5 rating and encrypted checkouts), remember that buying followers is technically against Instagram’s Terms of Service. It provides "social proof" to make your page look popular, but these followers won't buy your

Dear Sir/Madam,My name is Asad Rahji, and I am a 3rd generation Palestinian refugee from Syria. I hold a Travel Document for Palestinian Refugees (1948) and I am registered with UNRWA.I am currently residing in Hungary on a job-seeking residence permit, which is still valid for five more months. However, due to Decree 450/2024, third‑country nationals (except citizens of Georgia, Armenia, and the Philippines) are effectively prevented from obtaining a work permit. This makes it nearly impossible for me to secure legal employment, and my financial resources are almost exhausted. I am at real risk of becoming homeless soon.Returning to Syria is not an option for me due to the current situation there, and also because I belong to a Christian minority, which places me at additional risk.I am considering traveling to Germany to apply for statelessness determination only. I do not wish to apply for asylum, as I have lived my entire life as a stateless refugee and I am trying to avoid enterin

Hi, I am Susanne, member of a citizens' initiative in Hamburg and supporting a person from Bhutan who does not have any identification documents, which is causing difficulties with their residence status in Germany. Has anyone had any experience with this? We need proof that the country does not issue documents, or we need to credibly demonstrate this. Thank you for your help!
Hello everyone Im stateless I live in Kuwait I do look forward to seek asylum in eu country’s but I can’t get my travel documents so here’s my question to the stateless community: how did you get a travel documents?
Hi Everyone,My name is Hannah Gordon and I’m a PhD Student at the University of Melbourne, based at the Peter McMullin Centre on Statelessness in the Law School. My research explores how statelessness is defined and experienced by stateless and formerly stateless activists, aiming to centre those directly affected by statelessness as the true experts on statelessness. For this project I am interested in speaking to activists who are or have been stateless. This could be an official position – you might have travel documents or official recognition from a government or the UN – or an unofficial position – you might not have been officially recognised as stateless, but you might consider yourself stateless (or formerly stateless). Similarly, this project does not adopt a strict definition of ‘being an activist’, you don’t need to be working in a professional or paid capacity. Rather I’m interested in talking to you if you identify as an activist, as someone who believes in political and
HiA Stateless friend of mine from Kuwait was granted the right for asylum in Germany about 2 years ago. Since then he is trying to be reunified with his family who live currently in Kuwait but all his attempts failed. It is extremely difficult for Stateless people - even those with a refugee status - to navigate the complex German legal system for a family reunification.I’m trying to help him to find a German lawyer specialized in family reunification for Stateless people with refugee-status. Searching on the web proved to be challenging because I don’t speak German.Hopefully I can find someone here who can provide me with a list of German lawyers specialized in family reunification for Stateless people with refugee-status.

Hey I am a German student and I am preparing a presentation about the topic of statelessness, I am looking for a person (preferred language: German, English) who would be willing to answer some questions about the topic in a Short Interview?
Hello everyone, I’m brand new to this community and glad to have found it!My name is Shamus, I live in Canada, and while I do not find myself as “state free,” I have viewed myself as an advocate and friend of those who find themselves under that identification. I apologize in advance if I use inappropriate terminology, as before this community I have never actually had the privilege of speaking to anyone who is state free. During the last twelve years I have been working on something designed to bring attention towards Canada’s economy, laws, immigration, and quality of life, however it only really morphed into what it is now a handful or so years ago.My work is an alternative effort to try and provide permanent, sustainable solutions for stateless people through another take on the “refugee nation” concept with the intent of negotiating for land in Canada. At this current time, the State as a political entity exists according to and supported by international law (Charter of the Organ

I walked into a US embassy and renounced my US citizenship as I thought at that time I’ll get another citizenship but I didn’t and now I’m stateless. I thought that my renunciation won’t be valid if I’m going to be stateless but that turned out not to be the case as the warning says that you’re exercising right to expatriate as you renounce. It’s only after I renounced that I took the warning the US gave me about being stateless seriously. https://fam.state.gov/FAM/07FAM/07FAM1210.html#M1215I regret that decision. I don’t know what was I thinking when I did that. I should have took the warning seriously. What happens next to me?
Hallo!
Hi,Regarding the new stateless law in the Netherlands, which has been in effect since last October 1, how can a stateless person apply? Should I apply for asylum or go to court directly, or what is the method please? https://ind.nl/en/news/establishment-of-statelessness-laid-down-by-law
I’ve read this article and it made me curious about something.currently some 126,000 people. Many of them are Palestinians, Kurds or former citizens of the Soviet Union or Yugoslavia — states that don't exist.Individuals who were born in one of the former Yugoslav republics but were residing in a different republic at the time of independence were given the option to choose the citizenship of the newly independent country they were residing in.This was often done through naturalization or simplified procedures to avoid creating stateless persons. They had the opportunity to apply for citizenship in one of the successor states based on their ethnic background, residence, or other factors. For those who were refugees or displaced due to the conflicts in the region, there may have been specific provisions to address their citizenship status. Different countries may have had various measures in place to deal with such situations, aiming to prevent statelessness. So why are Yugoslavian living
